Hi,
After recently converting a half sized guitar into a bass uke and building a cigar box guitar, I got the bug and decided to build an electric solid body tenor ukulele. Note, I am a very ametuer wood worker.
The body is acacia and was built from a shelf. The neck is kwila and was originally a fence pailing. I don't have a fret saw so decided to purchase a cheap pre made fret board.
All of the hardware is cheap ebay as I wasn't sure if I'd get something playable.
The volume pot cavity cover and pick guard were cut from an old vinyl record. Neck and body finished with Tru-oil.
The end result is more than I could have hoped for. Intonated pretty well and has a great action with no buzz.
Already planning build number 2.
