I often read discussions about the need for humidifiers.
I live in California.
Summer heat will often hit the 90
 
Do you have a way to measure humidity in the environment where the uke is kept? Temperature (especially outside) doesn't really matter that much. Ideally, the uke should be between 40 - 60% humidity, plus or minus. If yours dips below the low 40's for any length of time, you should have a humidifier.
 
This rotten forum drops stuff. I was attempting some humor.

It’s a dry heat was the title of this post.
Although the external hits 110 with humidity dipping to the teens — a dry heat.
, my internal humidity stays between 45 and 60, summer and winter.
AC or furnace.
I don’t know if it’s my dozen house plants or my ‘vapors’ that maintains the humidity. No need for a humidifier add-on
