Why do you play? What got you started?

Uke started as a pandemic project, to teach my 5 year old daughter music. I play classical double bass and clawhammer banjo already but I admit to having always looked down on the uke.

To my surprise I was hooked immediately. I quickly started learning fingerstyle and clawhammer, although today I mostly play fingerstyle, plus a bit of strumming when I’m working with my daughter. She’s done a nice job of learning, too, and we can play a few songs together. It makes me really happy to play for myself but especially with her.
