    That is a really interesting Kala. It has the all-round abalone of the very first Koa Elites. It displays the correct motif of the Koa plant on the headstock as do the early Elites, but the headstock shape is completely different. I don't see the interior Elite label either.

    Off to further scrutinize it.

    I wonder if it's an early Petaluma prototype? The early Elites had that Koa inlay on the headstock. One of the other unusual feature: the friction tuners with Koa buttons. Beautiful Koa.

    I bet it has a sweet voice.
