    I’m a bourbon man, myself.

John Lee Hooker had some good whiskey-adjacent songs… “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” and “Whiskey & Wimmin.”

There’s a great old fiddle tune called “Whiskey before Breakfast”. But if it has lyrics, I’ve never heard them.

    lyrics:

    1
[D]Early one day the sun wouldn't shine
I was [G]walking down the [D]street not [A]feeling too fine
[D]I saw two old men with a bottle between 'em
    And [G]this was the [D]song that I [A]heard them [D]singing
    Chorus
[D]Lord preserve us and protect us
We've been [A]drinking whiskey 'fore breakfast
    2
Well I [D]stopped by the steps where they was sitting
    And [G]I couldn't be[D]lieve how [A]drunk they were getting
I [D]said, old men, have you been drinking long
They said, [G]just [D]long enough [A]to be singing [D]this song
    Chorus
    3
Well, they [D]passed me the bottle and I took a little sip
    And it [G]felt so [D]good I [A]just couldn't quit
I [D]drank some more and next thing I knew
There were [G]three of us [D]sitting there [A]singing this [D]tune
    Chorus
    4
[D]One by one everybody in the town
[G]They heard our [D]ruckus and they [A]all came down
[D]And pretty soon all the streets were ringing
With the [G]sound of the [D]whole town [A]laughing and [D]singing
    Chorus (x2)

Energetic, up-beat -- love it! ...Now how do you preserve those qualities in a Uke arrangement? Claw hammer seems would be a must, I think.
