Octave uke on a big baritone or tenor guitar?

I know guitaleles are roughly baritone size and can reasonably produce the low A note (A2) and tenor guitars are frequently tuned GDAE with the low G (G2) and sound good there as well. It stands to reason that a big baritone or tenor guitar would sound good tuned octave ukulele (G2 - A3), right? Has anybody tried this? I'm thinking I'd use the middle 4 strings of a guitar.

Otherwise, you could use the EADG strings of a classical guitar to tune octave GCEA on baritone ukulele.

Middle 4 strings of a classical guitar would function as DGBE regular baritone ukulele tuning.

Kissing has it right - bottom 4 for baritone uke. Middle 4 should work for tenor guitar
