Has anyone tried one of these? They look cool-- sort of the baby brother (or sister) to Mahalo's more familiar smiley-faced soprano. I don't find much info about them online.

It might well be hard to find but IIRC there was a short thread about these some while back. In my limited experience of Mahalo’s the old made in China ones can be made to be OK (sometimes they are) but don’t expect much of the newer ones made in Indonesia - I binned my Kahiko because it seemed to be no more than a Ukulele shaped object, but maybe others are better.

Someone could, of course, email Mahalo asking about availability.

Very cute! Great way to get a young child interested in playing.

I agree, Kenn. I have the soprano version, and really it's not a bad uke at all. Nice chunky neck and good intonation. I have used it for a couple of nursing home gigs, and the folks seemed to be cheered by it! I'm very curious about the sopranino version.
