Does anyone have an older one?

"Marty" is a Martin Style 2 pre-1920...

Original tuners (pegs, I'm sure) had been replaced with shitty friction tuners when I got him, and I put on UPTs.

Here is my pride and joy. She is an Iriguchi keystone concert named Ma’alaea. Handcrafted with solid Birdseye maple soundboard and poplar body with a wabi sabi finish (http://iriguchiukuleles.com/ukuleles-2/wabi-sabi-finishing/). Her sound is rich and velvety and she sings every single day.AEBFF20C-5D44-4739-9F51-7D3C819BD90B.jpgF89CD9BD-8114-4A3E-8C04-CF1E7F991EB0.jpg

I've never posted in this thread.... Time to change that.
Godin Multiuke
This is easily my most comfortable uke to play. I could never choose just one but this one certainly ranks high up there.

Never seen a blue Multiuke. Looks fab. I have considered a Multiuke myself as my first electric. Have you got it set up low or high g?

Thanks. Godin did limited editions in blue and amber. Both looked very nice. I don’t see them anymore so I assume they sold out. I have mine set up low G.

My cheap-o first ukulele. This is a Kmise MI0374, a concert scale I bought off ebay for a song back in June. Isn't it ugly? LOL

The ebay listing said that it had a solid spruce top. Amazon says this model has a laminated top. Amazon is probably right.

Out of the box... the setup seems really good apart from some sharp frets (which took about 30 seconds to fix). The GotAUkulele youtube videos were amazing help with determining if the setup was decent from the factory... Barry, you're awesome!

I changed out the strings to Martin M600s because the stock Aquilas were terrible (and probably not real), and it utterly transformed the ukulele from serviceable to "hey, that's not bad!"

It's louder and has more sustain than the Kala KA-C I noodled around with in the shop and while I think the Kala sounds a bit better... this Kmise was less than a quarter of the price.

Your inexpensive Kmise M10374 no doubt will make you happy. That is the most important criteria. I just hope your pet is not offended when you restring it some day with catgut strings.Haha.

Lol, I don't think he'll care. He's more concerned with whether or not I trim the strings... I've caught him trying to play with the ends whenever I leave it out!

here's a few more angles privileging the laburnum fretboard with no fret markers (my pet peeve; I can't see them so why are they there)
