Heelo!
The song "Tropical Hawaiian Day" by Ka'ua Crater Boys is a great song and I want to learn this song on my ukulele. I have found the chords for this song, so if you take a look at the YouTube video here, you'll see that the person who plays it has combinate the chords and the picking. So I'm looking for to combinate the chords and the picking like the person who plays it on youtube :)

The original song:

Here is the video of the person who plays it on YouTube:

And here is the chords for the song:

Thanks for any help:D

This one has been on my to do list for a while. I will see if I can move it up on this list a bit. Not sure excactly when I would have time to get started on it. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks. It's pretty easy so it shouldn't take too long once I get started.

that pull off part is going to be a challenge. It's fast and you have to strum the g-string at the same time. but a wonderful song I agree.

edit:

the frist picking part is something like this
G
C--------- ---2
E---------3-1 --1 -Hammer 3- pulloff 3
A3-3-3-3

Actually, that pull-off section is not going to be as difficult for you as it may first seem. I will have to check the entire song over but at least the first time the 2nd E string is not used except for the last note of the riff. The Youtube video referenced above pulls off on the B string for the second pull off, which sound fine, but is not what is on the recording.

You pulloff the A string at the 3rd fret (C to open A) followed by plucking the open G string with the thumb. Then do the same sequence at the 5th fret, then the 3rd fret again, then the 1st fret followed by plucking the open E string with the index/pointer finger after the last open G with thumb.

Maybe I can work on transcribing a little piece of it over the lunch hour.

I finished the tab tonight. All the licks were in what I posted earlier but it just repeats and has different combinations of the licks throughout the arrangement. I have assembled it so that the midi file represents the entire song. The same links in my post above will take you to the completed files.

I just need to get in touch with Troy and let him look at it to see if he will allow me to post it on my site.

Dominator, you totaly rocks! :smileybounce:
Thank you sooo much!!! :worship:

I know this is one hell of a top but I really need help with the last part of the picking. I don't understand it. Thanks in advance.
