I found this gallery with a series of images stepping through the making of a jazz guitar - http://www.dorahyguitars.com.au/construction/index.htm

I thought it might be interesting for others. It looks like the main tools in a luthier's workshop are clamps

The builder is a local instrument maker (but he doesn't make ukulele).

Nice to see the 'pliage' pic. When I made one of these I ducked the issue... and after looking at the bracing pattern you can see why these sound like a bee in a jar!
