Unhappy Refinishing over the top of Tung Oil

So I've been playing my kit uke and I'm really starting to love it. So much so, that now I am bummed I put a cheap finish on it. I used Tung and it came out nice, but I know it's not protecting the uke like it should be. So, there it is, what can I do about it now? Can you apply anything over the top of Tung and have it work? Experience or recommends sought!!
In an insane society, the sane man must appear insane and must play the ukulele.

    Default good question

I was wondering about something like that. What could you put over a Martin so to make it look better?
