...wenge stinks. Yeah, yeah. Slots easily, but man, you could repel skunks with the smell of that stuff, swear to god you could.
Update: I was confused. Or, the wood I had bought was mislabeled. I had purchased Indian rosewood and wenge fretboard blanks, but now that I've worked with these woods more extensively, I see (smell) it's the Indian rosewood that stinks, and the wenge is actually fairly pleasant stuff to work with.
