Put Your City on the UU Map!

Oh God!! yet another instruction I forgot..

final instruction after you've done everything else ...

CLICK ON THE 'SAVE' BUTTON BEFORE CLOSING!!!!

Don't worry everyone - i promise i shall never endeavour to give out instructions again. Clearly these are not my forte!

This is apropos of nothing, but your user image brings the phrase, "No thanks, I use toilet paper!" to mind. Am I regressing back to first grade? What's wrong with me?!!

Frood is a celebrity in Australia.

Not sure about bonfire on the beach. I went to a party at Ocean Beach in SF once and the wind was so howling that we ended up eating sand most of the time. But, to meet the UU gang, I would put up with the wind and the fog...(may have to buy a new uke after that, though.)

Golden Gate Park would be good place to hang out, but sometimes you have to compete with the african drummers. :) Actually there's sooo many places uke could go!

a very good point jjsdad. the beach is windy as all get out. scratch that. golden gate park has plenty of meadows for us to share with the drummers, hacky sackers, frisbee tossers, devil stick jugglers, theater troupes, dog walkers, medicinal mary jane smokers, etc.

This map is great fun. I've been searching it for the past 20 minutes.

Also, when you magnify to the closest images available, I find surprising spots in which UU members dwell.

It's CLEVACHEVA likes baseball too.
Anthonyukulele and Yukolaylay and 2ExtraStrings live on the roof of a tall building.

it's not really that busy, and I actually live under it, ninja turtle style. If you zoom in closer you can see the manhole cover that I call my front door.

Lol. I don't live there, I live in a neighborhood closeby though!

hmmm so from the looks of this map... the Bay Area should be one of the places the UU crew needs to go and visit... who would come and hang out with us if we did a little tour?

Hells Yeah! I'm there!

LOL, I need to edit my Helsinki spot... or do I? ;)

I have another entry of where I live in the US (I don't officially live there although it's my legal place of residence as far as the county is concerned), since we'll be heading back there in a few years. I put the place marker on a busy street outside my old high school. Go Greenwave.

Hey, I can see my house. There's my wife's car. Makes sense since she's working from home today. Who's car is that in the driveway? Hey! That's my best friend! S--t! I'll be right back!

So, I thought it was a really cool idea that cheeseburger had about making a member map of all the cities in the world that UU visits.

I thought it was such a great idea, that I made an editable Google map that we can all contribute to. We can even view this map in Google Earth. Once it starts to grow, just think how cool a Google Earth fly-by tour of all the cities will be!

Just think how cool it will be when I figure out how to use this thing!

Ugh. Can anyone else figure it out? Here's the link:

Ukulele Underground Members

Please, no street addresses! I don't want any crazy stalkers getting crazy ideas. Only enter the name of your city, please.

I was able to put a picture of myself in my city, but that's as far as I got. I don't know how anyone that's not me can add their city to the map.

If you want to add your picture, you have to first upload the picture to an image host, like imageshack. Then you copy the information in the text box labeled "Direct link to image".

Once you have that info copied, you can paste it into your placemark description on Google Maps by pressing the image icon. Just make sure that you're in "rich text" mode.

Thanks to anyone that wants to help me figure this thing out!

Peace!
Yo Seeso!
so idk how to do it....

but
I am from the Village of "Tamuning" here on Guam lol

Crikey! I haven't been on here for a few days and the map looks awesome!

Cheeseburger and Seeso - What a genius combo! (although they also sound like a delicious meal for a hangover..)

uhh... I don't know if I did it right... but I tried :)

Yup, you did it right! I put your pictures in there. Hope you don't mind.
