Hi all,

I am looking at some guitar/piano sheet music that I want to play on the Uke and I see some chords that have the notation 'o' after the chord name. For example, Ao7 or actually Aflat followed by the 'o' followed by the 7. Similarly Fo7. I know I read about this somewhere for guitar, but I can't find the page again and therefore can't figure out what to do for the uke either! Does anyone know what this means and so what an Fo7 chord would be?

Thanks,

That's a symbol some people use for diminished chords. Ao7 is the same as Adim7. You can play it as 2323 or 5320.

There's the so called 1/2 diminished too. This is often indicated by an o with a slash through it. It's the same as m7b5 i.e. a 7th chord built on the second degree of a natural or harmonic minor scale.
