I think the photos I posted a few days ago were taken in such poor light that you might want better clarification so here are a couple with their first coat of grainfilling epoxy. It takes about 40 minutes to mask up and fill the grain...

That really is some fine looking wood, I almost missed the back side of the neck hanging behind it with one of the most elegant volutes I've seen. Did you ever do a video on how you shape them?
