My wife and kids were out of town for the week, so I had the whole house to myself. I decided to make a ukulele from parts from the local Home Depot, plus some loose parts from other projects. My tool selection is pretty limited, so I had to use common tools The result looks like a union of a Risa Uke Stick and Bamm-Bamm's club.

Hi Daniel,

Crafty indeed, good job
Thanks for sharing,
I just might give it a go myself.

Cheers.

Not bad for a quick build. I'm impressed. Any more details on the construction (i.e.: installing frets)?

Frets

I installed the frets with a hand saw and a hammer, using a soprano ukulele as a guide. What other questions did you have?

Your photos on the YT video make most of it self explanatory, but I am having trouble figuring out where you used the springs you mention.

Springs

The springs are on the screws that connect the the door handle to the "L" shaped piece of aluminum.
