It's billed as a 1950's Martin "Repo." Repo is in quotes on the ticket. It appears to be a mahogany body. It needs some work, but I was wondering if this is actually a Martin or just a copy.

Any thoughts?

Does not look like a Martin - wrong headstock, fretboard, and fret markers.

Yeah, they're steel. I mentioned they had the wrong strings on it, but I doubt they care. :/ It's a shame all around. I couldn't find any markings whatsoever on it. I guess I shall delve once again into the seedy world of antiquing.

Edit. Thank you for looking, by the way. I appreciate your help. :)

Judging by the neck length, I'd guess it's a baritone. If so, a Martin should have a pin-type bridge. Heel of the neck looks cheap....not like a Martin, too....

Not even a martin copy even at that......only thing that really looks like one is the tuners and knobs..
I wonder if the seller knew what he was talking about or not???Actually to me, it says stay away..Sorry, MM Stan..

How about "rePRO" as in reproduction, but missssspelllled as repo as a tricky way to get people to think it was a repossessed Martin.

It's not a martin, IMO.
