I was wondering what pickups have high quality and are still pretty cheap (preferablly in the 2 digit range.)

Wow those ones are quite affordable BUT how would you install them? I can imagine it would be ok on an acoustic guitar, as you can stick your whole arm into one of those, but it might be tough to get the pickups under the saddle of your uke.
I could be wrong (my wife would say so)...

Interesting idea – the JJB ones start at around $20 and include volume and tone knobs, and seem like they wouldn’t challenge my tech skills as much as heading to radio shack!
Still wonder how you fit your own pickup into a uke, maybe I could teach my 9 month old to stick her tiny hands in and do it!
