For those using firefox you can use this add on to add your own favicons.
Here's what my favorites bar looks like. I used a favicon listed on this thread earlier. Hope this helps some. I just got tired of looking at the blank icon for UU.
Also for Internet Explorer(8) just right click the favorites button of favicon you want to update, select properties and you can change the Icon.
