I agree. I started with a cheapie Ohana but knew all along that I would upgrade. What I didn't know was that a better quality instrument - heck, even better strings - would make me sound so much better that I would want to practice more because I loved the sound so much!
Two months, one uke. A tenor Lanikai. I'm really considering putting my xmas money towards a mainland banjolele when it comes out. It's 285 but damn I really want one. This lady at my church has one of those old school banjoleles from the 20s or 30s and ever since she let me play it I've wanted one really bad.
Just curious, what does UAS stand for?
I'm coming up on 4 years next February. Man time flies. I still feel like I'm a beginning player.
I've lost count on how many ukes I've owned since the beginning. Probably close to 30. Right now I have 16. I thought I've put the brakes on UAS pretty good over the last year (only one purchase), but I just bought #16 and ordered #17 last week.
