Why just the big island?
cause that's where i went for my vacation. i knew i wasn't gonna go to any other islands
If you want cheap, I'd advise against going for a hawaiian built one, always seem to charge a "Hawaii tax" for being built on the island. You can get a similar quality uke built in mainland America for cheaper![]()
I can understand why you want a Hawaiian uke, but I live in FL and I think I'd have to visit the LoPrinzis in Tampa. Great ukes for the money, custom work available.

By Hawaii tax i mean you seem to pay more for a similar quality uke because they're from Hawaii.
