    Default Dakota - ukulele cover

    Hello everyone

a tune first recorded by the Stereophonics but brought to my attention by the excellent English folk group Show of Hands. Thought I'd have a go on the uke and see if I could inspire the Stockton to Darlington Uke Express lads and lasses to have a go soon. Even managed to inspire the GLW (Good Lady Wife) to do me some harmonies.

The dancing is not us! It is from the 1960s Nouvelle Vague film Bande A Part by Jean Luc Godard. It's a favourite scene of mine.

    Thanks for watching
    Mike

I've always loved that tune. That was a nice, elegant rendition! Well done! Thanks for that!

If you want to add in some picking along the lines of the Stereophonics Acoustic version, allow me some blatant self promotion

thanks for all the nice comments - and whetu thanks for the link. I've played it in F so I'll just re-tune a step and your tabs will work. If I can persuade our group to have a bash at it then they'll be really useful for a part for someone.
    Thanks
    Mike
