Melbourne Ukulele Festival (Australia) Feb 25th - march 1st

Following the phenomenal success of MUF 2010 we just had to do it again!

Like MUF '10 you can expect national and international performers of outstanding calibre and virtuosity, thundering uke mobs, workshops from the masters, luthiers and their wares, pluckin' picnics, ukulele art, kids stuff, crazy stuff and more MUF!!!!

Unlike MUF '10 the major concert venues will be on a grand scale!

The majestic Thornbury Theatre, a colossus of the Melbourne live music scene, will be home to our opening night on Friday the 25th of February. The enigmatic and ever so cool Northcote Social Club will be host to both Saturday and Monday night's major gigs. And the classical and stylish interiors of the Arts Centre's ANZ Pavilion will accommodate Sunday's soiree. But do not think that it will be all massive and impersonal because MUF 2011 will also have plenty of intimate spaces and casual (but beautifully positioned) outdoor environments! It's going to be the best ukulele festival this country (and many others) has ever seen!!!!

The Melbourne Ukulele Festival 2011 is proudly presented by Australia's first ukulele group, M.U.K. - The Melbourne Ukulele Kollective.

I was having a quiet drink in the pub and just started talking to this guy ( the one in the overalls) for less than 2 mins
when bernard came up to us and said play something ...this is waht we could put togeter in under 10 seconds ( not knowing anything about each other or our abilities)
