The heat is coming your way. Hope your a/c gets turned on soon. Being pregnant in the summer sucks, said the mother whose children were born on Sept. 12th.

I bet the weather was fine for one of them.

Dear Jon,

And you make fun of me for thinking that jumping bunnies is humourous?

There's a big difference between torturing small animals and being amused by it and putting them down quickly for consumption.

I think.

Dear Jon,

Last night we were over at Muffin's parents' house. They had on a show called "Hoarders". Please clean out your garage. You will feel terrific. Wow! What a show. I've seen some hoarders during my MOW stint, but nothing as bad as the hoarders on the show. I told Paul we should rent a dumpster immediately. The show makes you want to throw everything away. One lady lived in Hawaii. yada, yada, yada. When they were done the family could finally look out the windows. They had a beautiful view.

Yep, and with kid #3 due in three weeks there is no getting around it. We don't want to lose her among all the stuff.

I was reflecting on it after the movie - that was one you could NOT watch without knowing the series. There are a lot of references to the previous material in it.

Kind of makes me want to sneak away for a weekend and have a Harry Potterthon.

I'm down. Let me hop on my bike and I'll be out in Portland in, say, 3 months?

I'm not so sure. I can't imagine being pregnant and being in heat at the same time. I thought one was the direct cause of the other.

You know, my wife told me about things that pregnant women do during the 2nd trimester... and (at least in my wife's case) it all turned out to be totally false.

Yeah, my favorite is the two-finger G, 0202. Then when they mean G major 0232, they say "the other G" and when they mean G7 0212 they say "Da oddah oddah G."

When we play "Opihi Man" the main part of the song is D7 and G - 2020 to 0202 and back and forth.

That's awesome. I should play like that more often. I might sound better.

I am back from the beach.

And I have answers to all your questions!

Yes, I am eating soup.

Yes, I have a job interview next week. I might be going into manufacturing. That's amusing to me, because I grew up in a white collar family and never dreamed I'd work in a factory. But I think I might.

I forgot what else I was going to say in this post. I had like five or six things I thought up while I was heating up my soup but they're gone. I think it was something about drinking in the middle of the day.

I read somewhere that preggo chicks run 2 degrees hotter then non preggo chicks.

That I don't know. All I know is that I was pregnant in the summer time and it was hot for most of it. 'Course I was carrying twins! not really.

What kind of manufacturing?

Dear Beeej,

Depends on the kind of drinking in the middle of the day.

If there alcohol involved I don't recommend it. For the first couple of years after we moved to this house I had a lot of afternoon pool parties. Pool parties are a lot of fun with cocktails. (adult only, floating -- not horseplay) But it was a bitch when Paul would come home around 6 and I had to play wife for the evening. I no longer have afternoon parties.

Hyperthermia
In non-pregnant women, moderate aerobic exercise causes significant increases in core body temperature. Pregnant women, whether they exercise or not, experience an increase in base metabolic rate and core temperature. Fortunately, pregnant women regulate their core temperature very efficiently. Increased blood flow to the skin and the expanded skin surface release increase body heat. It has been shown that pregnant women do not have as much or an increase in body temperature during exercise as those who are not pregnant. However, it is recommended that pregnant women avoid exercising in non-breathable clothing and to avoid exercising when it is very hot or humid since the impact of hyperthermia can be severe. Using fans during indoor activity, swimming, and wearing light colored, loose fitting clothing may all help in dissipating heat during exercise.

Good Morning Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrybody!
Still catching up. I'm on page 1983.
I had an amazing weekend! I spent waaaaaaaaayy too much $, but at least I came home with $200 in my wallet.
I took Nanilei to see Love with is a Cirque du Soleil show with music by the Beatles. I asked the Casino VIP office if I could get a deal, they said they would comp one ticket if I bought one, and they made the reservations for me. We were in the 5th row at a sold out show. Gotta love Vega$!
The show is, in a word, stunning. I highly recommend it if it is at all possible for you to go. No DVD or TV show can fully explain what being there is like.
So I'm here at my desk doing catch-up and people are really starting to bug me about stuff I promised them I would do today. Sheesh! I still have a few hours to do that stuff, can't they see I'm busy catching up with the PoHos? hahahahha.

Oh, and we saw a great license plate while we were there:

H8 PEEPL

We were cracking up, and it became a theme of our weekend. Every time we encountered a huge line for something we wanted to do or a pack of Douches (which happens in Vega$ quite a bit) we would just look at each other and mutter "hate people!" it was hilarious.

One of our favorite little moments was after we saw Love we came back to the Luxor and sat in the bar for a drink. Normally, if you play one of the little machines at the bar they will comp your drinks. So we start playing the video Keno at the bar (25 cents a game, 'cuz that how we roll!) and we order some drinks. That'll be $21.50. For TWO DRINKS? Really? Um, we are playing the machine, don't you comp DING DING DING our 25 cent Keno came just won us $25! Oh, ok, here you go. Then we started playing quarters using this ridiculously tall glass. Nanilei makes like 47 in a row and I can't even get ONE in. Then she does one shot and the quarter goes RIGHT IN the slot of the Keno machine. HAHAHAHAHHA I love my wife.

Finally. Levi came home. We are on a date. Harry Potter starts in 5 Min :)!!!! Spool excited!!!

Jon -- What part of the forum is Brad posting your updates? I think I'm missing some photos.
Never mind. I found it.

Well, I have figured out simple tabs, one note per string. I am simply tabtarded. I don't have a clue what to do when you have multiple strings called for on one note. Do you pluck them all at once? Ugh.
I depends. If it is two notes, like say the 1st string and the 4th string only, I would say pluck the two at once. If it is all four strings, then it is likely just a strum as a chord. If there is a squiggly line next to them than that means a strum where you hear each note one immediately after the other, like a slow strum or a rapid arpeggio.
