I'm looking for Hawaiian ukulele music I can listen to via the internet - radio stations that stream, etc. I see that Pandora has a Hawaiian channel, and I also found this one - http://www.mountainapplecompany.com/mountainradio/

I apologize if this is somewhere on the UU site, I searched with no luck. Off to my 2nd-ever get together with other ukulele players, it's a group jam (which I'll mostly air strum to, I'm sure).

I'll have to check out some of those sites Kanaka mentions. My favorite for Hawaiian music is KKCR out of Hanalei.

I had pretty good luck building a station in Pandora starting with Bill Tapia.

I did the same thing with Slacker. I still like it, but I think in this case Pandora did a better job with the mix.

It's been a little bit since you asked this question, but I'd like to suggest looking at a Rhapsody account. This is how I've gained knowledge of Hawaiian Music. They have all kinds of stuff, including old-timey slack-key guitar recordings. So far the widest selection of Hawaiian music that I've found.

I didn't think of Rhapsody - thanks.

On "Last.fm" (http://www.last.fm/home) there is a "station" named after "Jake Shimabukuro" (( http://www.last.fm/music/Jake+Shimabukuro )) which has good hawaiian, and other, music that is "more or less" associated with "Jake-like-ish-oid music" (whatever that means).

Lots of ukulele, slack key, and the like, music.

…just another option for ya'…!! :shaka:

Oh! And you can create a station there by "keyword" or "artist", so any musician you like you can have it find music "associated" with him/her for you.

"Israel Kamakawiwoʻole", "Keali'i Reichel", "Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu", etc…
