A song from 1925, originally recorded by The Dixieland Jug Blowers - a great band featuring the unlikely line-up of three banjos, fiddle, clarinet, sax, jug and percussion (and other instruments). Johnny Dodds, of Louis Armstrong Hot Five fame, played clarinet on many of their recordings.

Sorry I couldn't get the link to work. I love that song and have performed it and taught it to many kids over the last 50 years. I learned it from the first Jim Kweskin album in the early sixties.

This is how I play it:http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/...-Am-Shake-in-C

The good thing about music is when it hits you, you feel no pain!
