Any 3-4 Chord songs (5 at a push) that are nice and easy for beginners to start learning ?

I would (personally) be looking for some rock type songs ideally, or some classics.

Thanks

Shiiiiii....

That is a lot of songs! Thanks for the link. Now I will just look them up for chords and strumming patterns.

A lot of Dylan songs are in the 3-4 chord category, too. Any 12-bar blues has three chords as does a lot of derivative 50s' rock. A lot of older country music has 3-4. Folk music too.

I will have to look out for that book, cheers hoosierhiver.

I was just looking for some rocky type songs to play and hoped they could be found.

Cheers

Thanks guys. Where is best for getting these songs online?

The one thing with some of these sites is lack of strumming patterns

creep by radiohead (G, B7, C, CM)
My girl by Nirvana (A, D, C, E, A)

uke rob,I wouldn't worry about 'strumming patterns'.
Some newbies make far too much of them! If the
sheet you have tells you to strum X number of times
per bar/per line whatever,it may be what the original
artist did BUT IT MAY NOT SUIT YOU and your style!
I teach a beginners class and we learn the chords and
the lyrics.Basically we strum in 4/4 time for everything
AT FIRST! Then,as you learn the song/tune you may
decide to vary to a different 'pattern'.The main thing is
to play in a way that is comfortable for you without too
much 'technological input'.Play it,strum it and enjoy it,
don't waste your time and your life analysing it!
