Ukes for Unicef

Hi all

It really was a great day with a phenominal turnout. We had no official count on the bodies in the hall but at one point it must have been well over 200 and probably with commings and goings we must have had well over 300 visitors on the day! The main stage was continuously being used so the audience rarely had a minutes rest.
Met some lovely people, ate cakes, played uke , sang out of tune and then had a few beers and san gout of tune again. What more could a bloke want. Great fun - Great day!

Phew! I think I've just about recovered now. It was a big, long day, what with having been at MaryAgnes's Friday night gig in London, then up early to do the BBC local radio interview and finishing up at pub closing time at the thrash. But very worthwhile and huge fun. Thanks to everybody who supported on the day in whatever capacity, and especially to those who put in the hard graft for several months leading up to it.
