Cool how Andy kept on strumming away on the uke while talking to Aldrine.

My shop has 1 set on order. We were told we can split them up, but calls have already been coming through for it so I don't think that'll be necessary.

The action on it was a little on the low side. But it's got a great sound! Real tight and focused, it's strung with a low g.

Interesting. Absolutely beautiful uke... I'm not sure about how I feel about the sound yet, so I'll wait until better samples start popping up to pass judgment

The sound wasn't bad. You can see me and Colin playing it here: http://ukeeku.com/2012/01/19/namm-20...serve-ukulele/

Overall I wasn't that impressed with it for the price. It played nicely but the tone needed some time to open up.

The price on these is going to be $9,999 for the set, MSRP. A lot less than was originally predicted from everyone, including our Taylor reps.

My shop was excited to be able to order one of the sets, the uke sounded great. Not sure about the needing to open up, I played some other ukes at NAMM from some BIG TIME uke companies that many people here love, that played horribly stiff and didn't have a good sound at all.
