San Fran - gonna be there in May - any meetups?

I'm going to be in San Francisco for a week in May and would like to join a group meetup. Can't seem to find anything definite in my web search. There's uke rebellion but their site says no meetups are happening...can that be right?

If you can hook me up with a group or person to contact for more info I'd really appreciate it.

You can look in the Sacramento groups. There are several and a very large gathering the first Saturday of every month at Northridge Music Store. http://www.ukeuniversity.com/ It is a drive from San Fran, but might be worth the time if you can make it. If that does not work, hit me when it gets closer and maybe I can head to the city for some uke time on the pier. Sounds fun!

Hmm, I just checked the San Francisco Ukulele Rebellion site (http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Ukulele-Meetup/) and it indicates that they've got a couple of meetups planned for May. The organizer, Bill Mooney is a great guy. You might also try Mike DaSilva's Berkeley UKulele group.

Thanks Elainede, I've joined the rebellion's FB group - hopefully their May meetup will happen during my visit to SF. We can't make Mike's music store jam because it is scheduled for the day we fly out. :-(
