C String is crazy!

My C string on my Kala Soprano is in tune, but when i push it down on different frets, it sounds sharp. If i just pluck the C string alone, it sounds perfectly in tune. My kala soprano came with GHS strings ( i believe ) and i was thinking of switching out that string with a nylon string, hoping that that would fix it. I am confused and really dont know what to do. I am almost to the point where i want to buy another ukulele.

Same thing happens with my C string. I have nylon strings, I just think the intonation is off.

hahah thanks guys. i feel a bit better now. but whats the solution to this problem? if there isnt any.. is the only way to go is to buy another ukulele? i like the bigger ones that sound more "Crisp" if you know what i mean.

Aha! Thanks Hoosierhiver. I have heard a bunch of great things about Aquila strings, so maybe I'll give those a shot, considering the fact that I still have the stock strings on mine!

Change the strings. If that fixes the problem then it was a bum set.
If the problem persists, then it would most likely be your saddle.
