I think a lot of people find them annoying! I do believe they have a purpose though. Here are the reasons I love banjolele:

1. You hear your mistakes better when learning.
2. In a group setting (like the two monthly jams I go to that are all acoustic instruments, not just uke), it has enough personality and projection to hold its own.
3. In a chatty setting like a family gathering, it cuts through enough to where those who want to sing along can.
4. In a group setting of ukes, like the strum I have coming up a week from Saturday, it's different enough to where it can "lead" the group and be easily distinguishable.
5. It's so darn cute.

I think it's one of those instruments that is better in a group than solo. Like a tuba. :)

I never thought I could live anywhere but the area I do (Bay Area). Everything you could want to do is relatively close. The weather is almost always awesome. It has everything.

And the wheels are nice and big, so it's safer.

I wish we could have 150cc here... I'd get one in a second!

Sorry Gary,

I hated living in the Bay area. It's a much better fit for me here.
