Uke in Cherry

It sounds really nice.

i love the colour, the sound, everything. You've done it again.

How much does one of you sustainable ukes go for?

$795... it's what all the sopranos start at. It's still premium wood that you pay a premium price for, especially the Alder which is no longer widely logged and the laburnum which is not a standard commercial species. So I have to hunt and pay for this stuff and end up putting as much into one of these as I do a koa or mahogany uke. The satisfaction comes from the fact I have been to the wood yard, sourced the materials in the real rather than virtual world and the parts now mostly all come from the British Isles. Only the hardware comes from abroad so I have cut the carbon footprint on these significantly and hopefully, no-one died or was driven from their ancestoral homeland as a result:love:

cool beans, i really hope other companies (not just ukes but all instraments) start taking a look at how they do things. Big props to you for taking that first step.
