Yeah, I don't think being a foreigner is easy no matter who you are or where you're going. But there is a lot of positives, just like your song built up to. I do love me some sushi!

The life of an ex-pat is never that easy, is it? Also, you'll find that you end up between two worlds, never 100% satisfied in your adopted home, but then never able to imagine going back to your old one - largely because it'll no longer exist when you've been in Japan for a while (the past is truly another country). Then whenever you return to the "home" nation, you'll miss Japan.

Oh well, it's the price we pay for being adventurous and I personally think it's a price worth paying.
