Koa Soprano

I have a Larivee soprano with a 14.125" scale and I find it great to play. When I play my Nephew's soprano I made him with a 13.5" scale it feels too tight. I will be making ukes again shortly and was thinking about going with 13.875" for the scale (one of the options from the supplier of pre slotted fingerboards). Would 13.875" be considered a long scale and be too different for some people? I will be selling instruments and don't want to put people off by having an odd scale.
