What's happening in your shed?

I was looking through the posts here last night for an over an hour. The word Amazing does not come close in describing the level of craftsmanship I viewed while pouring over the pages. And it is very inspiring to see the excellent manner and respect that is used towards one another regarding encouragement, compliments, modesty and advice. I' m glad to be a part of this community and hope to contribute something useful to the group. All the best. Vince

I agree with Vince. The quality and inspiration in the works we see is matched only by the amazing willingness by highest level pros to share knowledge and experience. With a few keyword searches here we get good info and plenty of mind opening angles as well.
I don't have a shed but am working on the yellow cedar one piece neck + sides for the next sliced pineapple experiment.

The oakulele--commissioned using wood from a historic tree removed in a nearby town. Engelmann top, spalted beech rosette, myrtle end graft

Looking through the side sound port
Cocobolo with ebony binding. This is how I cover up the bolts on the headblock.

End graft inlay is BRW and black mop with blue, white and black purfling and one engraved line.

I'm always delighted to see your work Beau - I don't have the eyesight for that fine mitering you do. I've said it before and I'll say it again - perfect miters are the true test of craftsmanship when it comes to cabinetry style skills. Truly wonderful to see.

Recently completed steel string harp ukulele :) Bearclaw sitka top, Honduran mahogany back, claro walnut sides, black walnut neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard/bridge, movingui soundboard binding (fingerboard binding is mahogany from the back offcuts).

Hi guys, I've been lurking here for a while and I think it's time to post something :)
Here's a cinnamon and sycamore low G concert I'm working on at the moment. Bindings next...

Thanks so much Pete!- Compliments from those you respect are always special moments.

One day, ill post the trick i use to get good joins on sound ports and sound holes. (it might not be a trick but just how everyone else has been doing it and im slow)

Some details of a guitar I thought woodworkers would like to see.
This is my new heel (with convex and concave curves) which I will offer on ukes instead of the usual arrow head shape.
Wood is BRW with ebony binding. Back and end graft inlays are BRW fading from orange to green.

Geez Beau, give us a break. The Miitering Master strikes again... Like the idea of the asymmetric neck heal. More comfortable for the right handed player. Cool idea.

My table at Memphis guitar show- This uke was a loved and wanted by many!-
