so far on my first uke.... Worth Clears..... 'towards bright' but not bad, kinda twangy. Worth Fats maybe not as much dynamic range, but louder, brightish. shaved the braces down a bit with a tool i made, and cut a bunch of lacquer off the top and back (kids, don't try this at home!) ... then to some Guadalupe strings, quieter, I like the feel, maybe missing something though, need higher action with these strings, and probably not strong enough top drive this instrument, they are rated for soprano/concert.

I just strung up the Savarez 541r, 543r, 542r, and 541j This is the best yet by a lot. Finally getting some sustain on the A string, better projection. I think there may have been a sweetness to the Guadalupes that is missing now, but so far, I like the Savarez strings.
