    Default Fake ukadelic ukulele?

I just nearly brought (off eBay) what looked like a kala Peace Ukadelic ukulele however before the seller sent it they contacted me to say that it didn't quite match the image. They sent me a photo and the body had the artwork on but with a tan back, sides and headstock. I just wondered if anyone else has come across fakes of the lower range ukuleles?

There are cheap knockoffs of almost anything that is popular. That said, Kala is known for changing up their bottom line models without any real notice. I think the bottom line stuff like the ukadelics and whatnot they probably subcontract from other factories. Just a guess as I'm not an "insider" but from what I've seen I think that's likely.

I'm not entirely convinced that it is possible to polish a turd. However, if one were to accomplish that feat one would still have a turd, and one all the more noticeable for being shiny.
