Hi,
If you press lightly on the soundboard around the bridge of my solid wood uke there is a definate 'wood cracking' noise - not huge, but surely not too healthy either. It's only on the (top? left? whatdya call it?) side of the soundboard (eg: the G string side from almost to the sound hole, round the bridge & to almost the middle of the bottom). Just a little press of the finger anywhere in that area & theres a small wood-strain noise.
Any ideas? Friends have suggested maybe internal bracing coming unglued or something?
I guess I'm just keen to get some advice on what it could be, how much to worry about it or what to do?
Thanks in advance for any info
