Electric Blues - on a Jupiter's Creek Soprano steel string electric uke,
built by Rob Dick in 2011.

Excellent. You know that Jupiter Creek Music is no more? Its a shame more of these video's weren't around while Rob Dick was too. I put up a couple of vids with a Concert uke of his while he was around but unfortunately the instrument he sent to me needed quite a bit of work before it was up to scratch.

There will be no more Jupiter Creek ukulele's made but I think there are at least 1000 made. They are all different however. I don't think Rob made 2 identical instruments ever.

Yes very sad news. I only found out when I visited his Facebook feed recently.
It motivated me to finally make a demo of the little uke.

Yep, I found that while the intonation across the neck was good, the big frets made for some bung sounding notes if you fretted as hard as I'm used to.

I have restrung it with heavier gauge strings, & while it has occurred to me to have it re-fretted,
at the moment I just try to fret a little more gently.
