    Default New Uke Monday

Okay, so it's Wednesday. I've been busy.

Last Friday at 8:20PM Pacific Time, I PM'd Telperion/Steve about his Risa Concert Stick and sent him money via paypal shortly thereafter.
He sent it out from Mass. on Saturday morning via USPS Priority Mail.
I got it on Monday afternoon here in the Pacific NW!

I've only had a chance to noodle around with it for a few hours, but I am very happy.
Sure, I have to get used to the headless part, but the fretboard and neck is similar to my soprano flea so I don't expect it to take long.

Tuning was a snap, the strings were slightly flat from travel.

Dang it's quiet w/o an amp, perfect for strumming in a hotel room.
The honeytone is gonna be a great travel amp.
I'm wondering what the next step up would be for a home amp.
I'm thinking I could get better acoustic clarity with an upgrade.
    Any suggestions?

Thanks again Steve for your prompt action.

    It's gonna a be a fun ride.

Depends on how much you want to spend and what your goals are. I find the lowly Roland MicroCube is just fine for home use. 'Mic' setting gives a clean realistic representation of the uke but the amp models and effects are fun also when you just feel like shredding!

Congratulations on your new uke day! Like the last poster said it depends on what you want to spend. I love my fishman loudbox mini. At some point I will get a Roland AC-33 for a battery portable amp.
