Geared Tuners for Firefly Banjolele

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the friction tuners on a firefly with standard geared tuners. All the ones I looked at have a base that is too wide for the thin headstock. Peghead tuners are the obvious choice, but a cheaper set of standard tuners would be kinda nice.

Most would work OK, but the base that anchors the tuner are too wide and hang over the side. There has to be a standard geared tuner out there with a small base that would fit. Anybody know of anything? Thanks for any suggestions!

I can't give you an aswer, other than saying "Yes" to the pegheds..

When I ordered my Firefly (S/N #22), I specified Pegheds, a decision I will never regret.

Yes, they are the best option, I must admit!

I don't have pegheds but would recommend them for the firefly - the friction tuners on mynconcert flea are easy - firefly not so much.
