thanks steve, i wanted to go so badly, but my brother was sick, so we had to cancel our trip. it looks like it is a lot of fun

Missed yesterday's festivities, am heading out today to catch the late afternoon workshops and screening of "The Mighty Uke". Hope to catch a glimpse of Julia Nunes, and especially Billy Tapia's performance!! I'm so psyched!!:smileybounce:

They also said on the website that online prices will be honored at the door to encourage a bigger turnout. MY paypal account wasn't working, so that is my only option. I can't do the whole 3 day experience, just Saturday afternoon/evening. :nana:

Well I made it folks to the latter half of the NYC Uke Fest and it rocked. Sat in on a fun workshop led by Victoria Vox, got to hang out with Jumpin Jim Beloff, rubbed shoulder with Bill Tapia. The concert was amazing, all the groups were spectacular, downright spiritual at times. I wish I had my video camera to catch it. I was so sorry to leave Bill Tapia's performance early, but I had to get home to the kids (anybody sympathize?).

Saw Haole there we jammed a bit in between (man that guy has some licks!!), and Hobgoblin Steve (we both sat in the Vox workshop). Deach didn't show up tonight, oh well his loss . Next year you all should come, especially if they line up a bunch of excellent groups like this year.

What really sucks is that I live not far from all of this...and I can't make it!

I wish I could have caught Bill Tapia!

It sounds like there's a few UU peeps there. I'm not sure who exactly is at the fest. but I'd love to hook up if at all possible. If anyone is hanging around NY past Sunday send me a pm. The weather will be nice here this week...perfect for a jam in Central Park. :shaka:

Give a shout if interested.

dont worry if you missed Bills performance, I taped the whole thing minus a song where my camera fell, and I deleted the vid.

Ill upload it probably monday as its 2 am, I just got home, and theres still stuff tm Im doing.
