What is the gauge of a wound, low G concert ukulele string?

I want to try one on my ukulele but instead of ordering on line, I'd like to go to my local music store and purchase a classical guitar string of the correct gauge.

Just like people, wound low G concert strings come in many sizes (thicknesses), within a certain maximum and minimum.

You'll want either a classical D or G string. Of course they come in multiple gauges too.................

You'll also need to have to nut slotted to suit the gauge of string installed.

It's usually between 0.029 and 0.031

I use a D'Addario nyl026w.(0.026)
