First we have a mucho-intense flamed mahhogany Regal "Redhead" uke, with more pics here:

Next we have a Mele (Harmony-made) which I just re-shot photos for at its blog post:

Nice! I love flamed mahogany.
Jake I have a Wendell Hall Red Head but the wood is not flamed. Is it just plain mahogany?

Yup, same stuff, just not as fancy. I never could figure how Regal went about choosing wood for these ukes. Some are very plain and some are VERY fancy. A lot of it gets mistaken for koa when it gets as flamed as the Redhead on the blog, but you can tell by the grain that it's mahogany. When I was first into these I thought it was koa, too... ;)

How does the sound of these 2 models compare with a 20's Martin mahogany uke?

Wow!! -two of the most beaut Sopranos I think I have laid eyes on. and both available! - you need to post these on the 'Marketplace', as well as in the 'Uke p***' sections! -if only my hands could come to grips with a soprano -

Very Nice...

Very nice as always from Jake/Antebellum. The best spot for vintage ukes!
