I agree that there are good and bad examples of the Dixie out there. I understand the point of view that any banjo uke can be fixed by "futzing with the bridge placement," but believe me, I tried that. It was completely unsuccessful. The next owner replaced the bridge and made some other adjustments, and the best he ever managed without major reconstructive surgery was getting the uke to the point where it almost didn't hurt to listen to. However, if you have a good one, that's great.
