Bought this item for 25$ when I got my cordoba 15cm concert uke. I liked this one over the other classical straps as the hook is wider than the others I have seen. Then I got home...
The adjustment for the instrument height was on the loop part of the strap that goes over your head. I adjusted it to be snug over my head so that the uke would be as high up on my chest as possible. Then when I put the uke on the hook it was still too low. Also discovered the hook hit a brace on the inside of the instrument and was very close to the A string to boot.
I used a safety pin to shorten the "shoestring" part of the strap to get the instrument to the right height for me on my chest. Then I used a hacksaw blade to shorten the part of the hook that goes into the sound hole. It was very soft plastic and easy to do.
With the adjustments I made to the product I am now happy with the strap. None of my adaptations to make this strap work with a uke are visible when worn.
