Lesson #14 of 26 Basic Ukulele Lessons,The C-G7-F-C Chord Progression is now up on my site. Every Wednesday I'll roll out a new three-minute lesson designed for the person who is just getting started
Among others I'd guess, I really enjoy your teaching style and although I'd already progressed a bit, went back and reviewed all of the 14 you've published so far. I particularly like your one a week schedule.
Although there's tons of free guides and videos, there are darn few really good ones, and I think yours is one of them. Anyone can publish a recipe, but relatively few can explain it.
Jim, love your quick lessons.
I bought a cheap uke some years back but became frustrated trying to memorize all the chords and all the conflicting advice on learning to play. Fast forward a few years....retirement and physio for a broken wrist, I picked it up again and was fortunate to find your site (and get a better uke). You make "sense" of music theory and after just a matter of weeks I am having so much fun training my ears and fingers- although strumming patterns is still a struggle! But I think this is really something I can do with lots of practice, and not through memorization but through learning to listen.
I wish I had an opportunity to attend one of your sessions but as that is not the case, I am very grateful for your on-line tutorials. You are very much appreciated sir!
