I would love input from Pono TE owners or those who have played Pono TEs plugged in.

Remember that "pants wetter" thread?
Lets hear from you please.

I'd say YES! I have a MiSi in my Pono TE. I run it through a Yamaha THR5A and the excellent note clarity goes on and on until I run out of frets. I really enjoy it....a lot.

Need? Only you can answer that one.

But, just for yuks, I would add that a well designed and constructed chambered solid body uke with a MiSi will sound quite different from most quality acoustics with good pickups. My Pono has a very controllable tone through an amp. No need to dial in/out overtones or resonance. Oh, and it sounds great.
