I was asked by a fundraiser called the relay for life, a cancer awareness event, to build an electric ukulele for them to auction off after they saw my first one. Here are the results!
I followed a fellow forum member, who has a website called circuits and strings (http://circuitsandstrings.wordpress.com/). This uke is made from a cherry body and neck, ebony fretboard, and paua shell dots. It is a tenor with a classical style head stock, single coil pick up, and through-body strings. I used a natural stain for the cherry, and a polycrylic for the finish. I enjoyed building, and I'm happy someone asked me to do it!
